A cold, also known as nasopharyngitis or rhinopharyngitis, is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract, which particularly affects the nasal cavity, but also frequently the throat (pharyngitis) and, more rarely, the paranasal sinuses (sinusitis).
Rhinoviruses are responsible for this infectious condition. Flu is a respiratory infection caused by the influenza virus (serotype A or B), which is highly contagious and is often the result of a poorly resolved cold, although in many cases it is triggered without a previous rhinovirus infection.
Flu symptoms are much more painful than those of a cold, with marked muscle pain, coughing, headaches, sore throat with difficulty swallowing and fever.
Hawa®flu is a synergistic formulation to act on colds and flu, in situations where the condition has already set in, and (or) as a prophylactic during the autumn and winter periods.
