Silicon is the second most abundant chemical element on Earth after oxygen, and is one of the 12 main chemical elements in the composition of living beings, making it essential to life. In our bodies, it is present in bones, vascular walls, the pancreas, tendons, muscles, adrenal glands, spleen, liver, kidneys, heart, thyroid and thymus. It is worth noting that human blood contains around 7g of silicon. Between the ages of 25 and 60, the silicon content decreases by around 80% in the richest tissues, such as the skin and arteries, thus contributing to ageing and loss of functionality.

Organic Silicon, WHY?

Because mineral silicon is only assimilated at a rate of 2% (higher levels are toxic) and cannot be transformed into organic silicon by our body. And colloidal silicon (a dispersion of mineral silicon in a large quantity of water) is only assimilated at a rate of 5%.

On the other hand, G5® organic silicon in the form of MonoMethylSilaneTriol (MMST) is the silicon with the highest known absorption rate, around 70%. It is also completely harmless when applied internally and externally, and can be used on the skin, mucous membranes and eyes. MonoMethylSilaneTriol is a polar molecule, rich in electrons and therefore facilitates the transmission of electrical signals between membranes, thus cellular communication.

Furthermore, its pH is 6.6, which means that this molecule has total affinity for the biochemical environments in which it interacts (the intracellular pH is 6.9). It should also be noted that its presence is essential for the absorption of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium ions and for the production of vitamin D, and is indispensable for the synthesis of collagen and elastin, i.e. for the construction of all connective tissue. MMST is easily assimilated by the skin and does not need to be ingested for it to be effective.
