E-Magress MK is an ideal supplement to weight loss regimes in cases of irregular bowel movements. It contains cascara sagrada and boldo, which help maintain bowel regularity. Grapefruit extract contains bioflavonoids that help protect cells against free radicals. Cereal fibers support the frequency and number of bowel movements, also facilitating the maintenance of intestinal flora suitable for proper bowel function.

Cascara Sagrada is a tree, Rhamanus purshiana, whose dried bark contains anthraquinone derivatives, especially cascarosides A and B. These compounds have a biological action in our body as cholagogues and laxatives, when used in small doses, and as purgatives in larger doses. Thus, cascara sagrada is traditionally used in the treatment of occasional constipation and hepatobiliary spasms. It is useful in situations of excess weight associated with constipation and/or a feeling of
swelling.

Grapefruit extract, Citrus paradisi, is rich in bioflavonoids and vitamins C and E, and is therefore a powerful antioxidant that preserves membrane integrity and ensures the correct functioning of cells. It also contains soluble fibres, known as pectins, which help to reduce serum cholesterol levels and remove fatty material deposited in the body, having a purifying effect on it. In this way, our body manages fat better, which results in more effective weight control.

L-carnitine is an important substance in the fat oxidation process as it is responsible for transporting long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, the place in the cells where fat is transformed into energy. Low levels of this substance (naturally present in foods such as meat) result in the accumulation of fatty acids in fat cells or adipocytes, i.e. an increase in body fat mass and consequently in body weight.

Passiflora incarnata, or passionflower, is a climbing plant native to tropical America, whose aerial parts have sedative, antispasmodic and hypotensive effects. Extracts contain flavonoids, especially vitexin, phytosterols, and small quantities of essential oils. They are recommended for cases of nervousness, anxiety, depression, insomnia, concentration difficulties, premenstrual syndrome, cardiovascular problems, childhood hyperactivity, asthma and also for the treatment of gastrointestinal spasms of nervous origin.

Peamus boldus, or boldo, is a shrub native to the Andes whose leaves contain alkaloids, particularly boldine, flavonoids and essential oils, which together promote bile and gastric secretion, facilitating digestive processes and the functioning of the gallbladder and liver. Boldo extracts therefore have hepatoprotective, diuretic and anti-inflammatory effects. They are traditionally used to treat hepatobiliary disorders and constipation.

Cereal fibres are composed of cellulose, hemicellulose, mucilage, gums, pectins, among other substances, and have the ability to absorb water. Therefore, when ingested, they increase in volume, which in turn causes an increase in faecal weight and stimulates peristaltic movements of the intestines. This facilitates intestinal transit and alleviates cases of constipation. At the same time, fibres cause a feeling of satiety and, because they are very low in calories, are also an important factor in combating excess weight.
