PROPOLIS

It is a resin collected by bees from the buds and bark of certain trees and altered by the action of enzymes contained in their saliva. Propolis is used to protect the hive against invading agents: bacteria, fungi and viruses, the true natural antiseptic of the hive.
Its composition is quite complex, with around 60% resins and balsams, 30% waxes, 5% pollen and the remainder essential oils.
